I am done with my work trip to Indiana. I am flying back on Delta (of course) from the Indianapolis International Airport (IND). I hope I get an upgrade to first class.

Now that I have the boring part over with I want work to send me somewhere fun like New York or Las Vegas or California. Indiana seems like an OK place but too quiet and boring for me.

I am off to Belize on Saturday morning!

Indy Day 2

November 19th, 2008 No Comments

I spent all day working feverishly to stay on schedule and I did get all 6 sites done. It was a lot of driving and running around but now I will have a much easier day tomorrow. I have my 2 sites left in Fort Wayne and I am all done.

I am in my hotel in Fort Wayne now and it is a nice room. I am just off the interstate and I am near my 2 job sites for tomorrow. Free high speed internet and sausage/egg breakfast are 2 things I enjoy.

I drove about 200 miles today. I am happy to be out of the car!

Indianapolis, Day 1

I will keep this short as not to bore your with work junk. I spent the day running around and hitting different job sites. I hit 4 of the 5 I had scheduled as I ran into some problems at site #4. I will have to make that time up tomorrow and Thursday.

This being my 3rd trip to Indy I have to say that I will most likely never live here. Its just too boring, flat, and cold for me. I also believe that it doesn’t help that I do not know anyone here. I spend all my time working and on my laptop here in the hotel.

Tomorrow will be more of the same and I am heading off to Fort Wayne in the evening since I have a couple job sites up there. If all goes smoothly I should be able to finish them all in time for my flight home Thursday night from Indy.

I have finally had a few minutes to upload some more photos to Flickr. I put up about 400 more and organized them. I still have a long way to go but one must start somewhere. I am uploading in ABC order.

Click on the photos link in the left navigation bar to have a look. Feel free to comment on what you see!

Today I am flying from ATL to IND on Delta. I am speding 3 days in Indiana for work. I look forward to banking some per diem money and some more miles.

Belize Hostel Booked!

I have decided that I am going to stay only on the Cayes in Belize for this trip. I need some relaxation time and I cannot think of a better place than small islands in the Gulf of Mexico. I booked a place in San Pedro so I don’t have to worry about where I am going to stay for the first few nights.

Pedro Backpacker’s Inn was my choice. It is reasonable ($10 USD per night) and the pictures look nice. It also has a pub and pizza place within it. It also has a good location.

I am dividing my time between San Pedro and Caye Caulker. I will fly directly form the island to the International Airport to save time on the way back. On the way in I will take a taxi to Belize City and water taxi to the islands. I am looking forward to a week on the beach in 80F weather!

I am applying to be part of a clinical research study on a new jet lag medicine. It includes 4 days on the French/German border and a flight to and from there on a private jet. If I complete the entire study I will get $2500. If I do not get accepted I will be compensated for the time I have spent.

If you are curious you can read more at www.jetlagstudty.com. I think they are still looking for more people to participate. I believe this will be at interesting experience and I am really curious if the pill works. It would be great to be able to travel and not have to suffer with jet lag. I get it pretty bad and hate it!

One of my younger cousins is getting married on Dec 13. This means I have to go home for that weekend. I am trying to work out if I should fly (a lot less stress and more money or miles) or drive (4.5 hours each way, 2 days back to back, very LONG weekend). I am looking at flying so I will not be tired and upset the entire time.

I also have to factor in that about 2 days later I will be going right back for Christmas. I will most likely drive for that unless I get a really good deal on a flight. I am still hoping for a good deal form Delta but I am not holding my breath.

It has been a little over a month since I have made diet adjustments and I am seeing positive results. I am eating more salads, generally feeling a little better, and I have lost a little weight. I am going to stick to my guns and try not to stray away.

The worst part of eating salads is that since I am only having 2 meals a deal I want warm meals. I am not sure why but it is what I truly desire. I have been eating Wendy’s chili and potatoes since they are not bad and they are warm. I still eat salads, though.

I am now trying to get into the habit of taking my vitamin. I find that these help also and it is a good thing to do anyway. The trouble is remembering to take it.

I finally gave in and restored my iPhone 3g to factory and then restored from backup. This cleared up all the problems in my phone and allowed me to update my way out of date applications.

After much forum digging and cussing I found this was the only way. It took about 20 minutes and was pretty painless. For those experiencing crashing issues with your iPhone I suggest you do this!
