I arrived in New York at Penn Station and found myself in the rain. I took a cab to my hotel and got checked in. I was staying at the Clarion on Park Ave and it was very nice. The rooms are tiny but I expected as much in the city.

The rain stopped soon after and I ventured out to find something to do with myself. I did not find a bar that looked inviting so I ended up stopping at a store, grabbing a couple beers, and headed back to the room to watch a movie. They did not have wifi.

The next morning I had to go to Brooklyn to my job site. I got done around 1PM with time to kill before my flight at 7PM back home. I had lunch at a great kebab place called the Kebab Factory. It was run by Turkish people which is a good sign. The food was excellent and reasonable (for NY) at $10. Great Gyro plate!

I had too much luggage (tools for work) so I headed up to JFK airport to get checked in and relax a bit. I was able to meet a friend who got me into the Delta Sky Club for free drinks and decent food. We killed time until the flight home in First Class on Delta.

I wish I could have spent more time in New York. Every time I go there it seems I am rushing to get back out as it is very expensive. One of these days I will stay a couple days in the hostel and actually see some sites!

Today I am flying back home to Atlanta, GA first class on Delta. This completes my 2 day work trip to the northeast.

Today I am flying on Airtran to Philadelphia for work. I will actually be going to Riverton, NJ for a job site.

I will be taking the Amtrak for the first time to New York City where I have another job for work tomorrow. Finally an interesting place to go!

For those of you that are interested I have started a personal finance blog. I decided to do this in order to reach my goal of perpetual travel. I feel that if I am forced to report my progress to the world then I will be more prone to stay on track to financial independence.

Today I am going back home from Michigan. I spent a lot of time running around job sites and am ready to be back to “normal.” I got upgraded to first class on the way up and hope to have the same on the way back.

So I get to go back to Detroit for work for 3 days. I am going June 2-4 and will be going to about 20 job sites while in the area. Another crazy whirlwind trip which seems to be the standard for work travel.

Not looking forward to much except Windsor, Canada, More miles, and earning per diem. I suppose this will be the trade off for Vegas in July!

I am returning home from Baltimore for a short work trip. From what I can tell a generally boring city but I was working most of the time in it’s defense. I got upgraded to first class again. Love the free drinks!

Today I am flying form Atlanta to BWI for a 2 day work trip. First time I have been there and am not sure what to expect. Most people I know did not have a lot to say about it. I did get an upgrade to first class at least.
